Being a union member means being an activist; an activist for political action, human rights, workers rights, children’s rights and such. We understand that every person has the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Preservation of these rights requires someone to stand up and speak out when our rights – or the rights of others are being violated. The action alert section of the Region 8 website is designed to bring attention to issues that involve working families everywhere.
