UAW Members Prevent the NTN-Bower Grinch From Stealing Christmas

The NTN-Bower “GRINCH” didn’t steal Christmas from the children of striking members of Local 1990 in Hamilton, Alabama. Despite the on-going battle to get an Agreement with NTN-Bower, thanks to the generosity of the UAW Members throughout Region 8, the Region 8 Staff, and Region 8 Secretaries, the children had a great Christmas celebration at Local 1990’s Union Hall on December 22, 2007 complete with Santa Claus, gifts and Toys ‘R’ Us Gift Cards.

This celebration was preceded with a rally in front of the plant, which was attended by hundreds of members from the UAW, UMW, IBEW, USWA, CLEAR, Central Labor Councils, Alabama AFL-CIO, and many other labor supporters. Many of these brought food, donations, and toys for the children, as well.

The Local 1990 membership and Region 8 want to thank all of those who participated for their support and donations. Thanks to you, the membership’s spirits were lifted and the children still had a Christmas that they would have otherwise not had. THANKS AGAIN.
