Get- Out-The-Vote Efforts Underway at UAW Local 2069

With the November 8th Election Day in the State of Virginia fast approaching UAW members at Local 2069 arrive at their union hall after putting in eight to ten hour shifts to phone bank active and retired UAW members in order to get their membership to the polls and support the candidates that have been endorsed by the Virginia State UAW CAP Council.

On the chilly and rainy evening of Wednesday, October 19th, Mike Spraker, Vice President of UAW Local 2069 and newly elected VP of the Virginia State UAW Community Action Council opened the doors to welcome the volunteers who realize who they have in office representing them affects everything and everyone in their community. The UAW continues its mission as stated by President Bob King, “defending the middle class and all working families is a fight that we are determined to win”.


LU 2069 Recording Secretary Melisa Alley knows the importance of politicians who stand with working families.

International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local 2533 retiree Jeanette Sheffey works the phones.
