Region 8 Honors At Annual LUPA
Awards
Region 8 Website Named UAW Best Overall
The Local Union Press Association (LUPA)
Conference was held at the Walter and May Reuther Family Education Center
located on Black Lake, near Onaway, Michigan on April 4-8, 2004. Editors
and webmasters from around the UAW attended this conference to sharpen
their skills.
An annual part of this conference is the presentation of journalist excellence
awards for local union  publications
and websites. A number of Region 8 Editors and Webmasters were recognized
for their efforts. The UAW Region 8 Website was recognized as the best
overall website within the UAW. In addition, a number of Region 8 publications
and website were recognized for journalist excellence. The Region 8 winners
were:
Division I
(Circulation under 500 and smaller than 11X14)
