Re: Thank You for the Great Training!

I just wanted to thank you and Bro. Joe Rypkowski for allowing UAW Local 1853 to host the pilot "Civil Rights Training Session" for the other locals in this state and surrounding area. The training did help provide information both historical and document reference materials for our membership, also to have such a great teacher from the International UAW Civil Rights Department, Brother Nathan "Nate" Head.

Brother Head shared a lot of important information starting from Workers Rights in the Workplace, Sexual Harassment, Investigations, Local Policy and Procedures, Equal Application of Agreement Committee, and Grievance Procedure. Then also to the Global Scope of protesting for workers' rights and the importance of being an active and diligent union voter. Not only did we have videos but also material handouts to help keep our skills sharp and ready reference at hand.

I do wholeheartedly recommend this training to continue throughout Region 8 for the betterment of our beloved union and membership! Again--Thank You!
