Local 2164 Veterans Recognized For Work With Toys For Tots
Members of the Local 2164 Veteran’s Committee were recognized by the Toys for Tots of Southern Kentucky at the annual Appreciation Banquet. In 2025, the Toys for Tots of Southern Kentucky program served 32,000 in 23 Southern Kentucky Counties. The Local 2164 of Bowling Green, Kentucky Veterans Committee conducted a toy drive the at the Corvette Assembly Plant. The members of Local 2164 were recognized for their generosity and benevolence last holiday season.
“Yesterday some members of our Veterans Committee attended the Toys for Tots Southern Kentucky Appreciation Banquet and accepted an award for the local,” states Local 2164 member Denise Hogan. “I want to thank everyone who made donations or volunteered last year.”
“We commend the membership at Local 2164 and all the other locals across the region that made such a difference last holiday season,” states UAW Region 8 Director Tim Smith. “Our locals are one big family in Region 8, focused on protecting our members, building our communities, defending the weak and social justice. Congratulations to the members of Local 2164 for this well-deserved recognition.”
