2026 UAW CAP Conference Kicks Off In Washington, DC

The 2026 UAW CAP Conference kicked off Sunday, February 8 in Washington, DC. Since Washington is in Region 8, we host the conference. UAW Region 8 Director Tim Smith spoke at the retiree’s breakfast, and opened the afternoon session.
The conference continued on Monday February 9, 2026, with an address from UAW President Shawn Fain. All three International UAW Vice Presidents Laura Dickerson, Mike Booth and Rich Boyer spoke on the importance of retirement security for our members and the working class as a whole.
Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez and Rep. Debbie Dingell each addressed the conference.
David Huerta, President of the Service Employees International Union-United Service Workers West addressed the conference as well. |
