New UAW Website Makes It Easier to Update Addresses

Receiving communication from the UAW is vitally important to our members. Many don’t realize that if they change their address with the company, that information isn’t shared with the UAW. The issue becomes more problematic with retiree locals that don’t have an active membership and hall.

“Across Region 8 we have a lot of closed locals, that still meet and participate on a regular basis” states Region 8 CAP/Retiree Rep Anthony Towner. “To make it easier for everyone to update their information, the UAW has launched a new website https://myinfo.uaw.org. This website gives everyone the opportunity to update their personal information from the comfort of their own home.”

The website gives the opportunity to update your person information to ensure the UAW has your most up to date address. Even if you haven’t moved, it allows you to double check the information on file just to be safe. That way you can rest assured you will receive all of the correspondence from the UAW, including your mail in ballot for this year’s IEB elections.

Antony Towner has been visiting some of the retiree meetings to explain, how to find the website and to update their personal information. He recently visited Local 5841 in Winnsboro, South Carolina and Local 3520 in Cleveland, North Carolina and was assisted by Region 8 Educational Rep David "Shaggy" Firkins.
