Local 5285 President Ricky McDowell received the President’s Award of Excellence presented by the NAACP Gastonia Branch in North Carolina. The President's Award is a special local and state-level recognition presented by various branch chapters of the North Carolina NAACP to honor individuals demonstrating distinguished public service, leadership, and advocacy for civil rights
